The R&D section of Durak Tekstil has outdone itself recently. Textile products, especially home tech, face a huge problem with insecticides. Durak has claimed that their developed yarn would be a safer and healthier solution for this problem.
Reason for This Development:
Insects like carpet beetles, crickets, fur beetles, silverfish, etc often cause damage to textile products. Other than that many invisible or microscopic bugs are also counted here. These pests use warm & moist environments for reproduction. The inside layers of furniture, carpets, bedding, and even toys are penetrated by organic particles like food crumbs and skin residues from people and pets. It creates an environment that is conducive to these organisms. It is proven that an adult sheds 1.5 grams of skin per day, which can be enough for one million bugs to live. Now to eliminate those, chemical solution like permethrin chemical component is widely used. But this is highly dangerous to human & pet skin. So sustainable yet safe alternatives are the demand of time.
Qualities of the thread:
“Keeping insects away instead of killing them” – is the main motto of durak threads. It prevents the settlement & reproduction of pests in textiles, especially in seam areas. Initially, it was produced in a light color. But now, customers can order any color or shade according to necessity. This insect repellent property can withdraw up to 50 washes. It even guarantees lifelong service if there won’t be any washing. Interestingly enough, Durak threads will keep away mosquitoes and bees.

It was held at IFM on September 25-28, with its innovative products reflecting its R&D strength. The 135 m2 booth has shown the excellence of their R&D team. They have already started their marketing in America. Their next big target buyer is Russia.
